TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCEDURE Two stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test has been introduced at Selection Centres/Air Force Selection Boards. All the candidates will be put to stage one test on first day of reporting at Selection Centres/Air Force Selection Boards. Only those candidates who qualify at stage one will be admitted to the second stage/remaining tests. The final selection for admission to the Army and Naval Wings of the National Defence Academy will be made in order of merit upto the number of vacancies available from the merit list for the Army and Naval Wings, for the Air Force Wing from the merit list for the Air Force; and for the Executive Branch of Naval Academy upto the number of vacancies available from the merit list for the Naval Academy, subject to medical fitness and suitability in all other respects. The candidates who are common to all the three merit lists will be considered for selection from all the three lists with reference to their order of preferences and in the event of their final selection from one list, names will be cancelled from the other lists. N.B. : Every candidate for the Air Force is given Pilot Aptitude Test only once. The Grade secured by him at the first test will there-fore hold good for every subsequent interview he has with the Air Force Selection Board. (2) Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage and indicated in online application. If called for interview, the candidate will have to produce a certificate issued by the appropriate authority inter alia stating that the norms of the University regarding conversion of grade into percentage and the percentage of marks scored by the candidate in terms of norms. (3) Calculation of Percentage: The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%. Definition of Persons With Disabilities Under Section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act 1995 only such persons would be eligible for reservation who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability and are certified by a Medical Board constituted by the Central/State Govt. Accordingly, candidates with the following disabilities are eligible to apply. Visually Impaired (VI) Blindness refers to condition where a person suffers from any of the following conditions namely (i) Total absence of sight, (ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses. (iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending in angle of 20 degrees or worse. Low vision means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive correction but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning or execution of a task with appropriate assistive device. Deaf & Hearing Impaired (HI) 4 The deaf are those persons in whom the sense of hearing is non- functional for ordinary purposes of life i.e. total loss of hearing in both ears. They do not hear, understand sounds at all even with amplified speech. Hearing impairment means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies. Orthopaedically Challenged (OC) Only those Orthopaedically Challenged candidates who have locomotor disability or cerebral palsy with locomotor impairment of minimum of 40% and only those who fall in the following categories are eligible to apply: BL – Both legs affected but not arms OA – One arm affected (R or L) – (a) Impaired reach; (b) weakness of grip; (c) ataxia OL – One leg affected (R or L) MW – Muscular weakness and limited physical endurance Guidelines for Persons With Disabilities using a Scribe The visually impaired candidates and candidates whose writing speed is affected by cerebral palsy can use their own scribe at their cost during the online examination. In all such cases where a scribe is used, the following rules will apply: The candidate will have to arrange his / her own scribe at his/her own cost. The scribe may be from any academic stream. Both the candidate as well as scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking confirming that the scribe fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe mentioned above. Further in case it later transpires that he/she did not fulfil any laid down eligibility criteria or suppressed material facts the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result of the CWE. Those candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination. The same scribe cannot be used by more than one candidate. In addition the scribe arranged by the candidate should not be a candidate for the examination (CWE PO/MT-IV). If violation of the above is detected at any stage of the process, candidature for CWE of both the candidate and the scribe will be cancelled. Candidates eligible for and who wish to use the services of a scribe in the examination should invariably carefully indicate the same in the online application form. Any subsequent request may not be favourably entertained. Guidelines for candidates (i) with locomotor disability and cerebral palsy An extra time of twenty minutes per hour shall be permitted for the candidates with locomotor disability and cerebral palsy where dominant (writing) extremity is affected to the extent of slowing the performance of function (minimum of 40% impairment). (ii) Visually Impaired candidates Visually Impaired candidates (who suffer from not less than 40% of disability) may opt to view the contents of the test in magnified font and all such candidates will be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour of examination. The facility of viewing the contents of the test in magnifying font will not be available to Visually Impaired candidates who use the services of a Scribe for the examination.
SBI PO – ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA: (A) Essential Academic Qualifications: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Candidate having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before the eligiblity date. Note: The date of passing eligiblity examination will be the date appearing on the marksheet or provisional certificate issued by the University / Institute. In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University / Institute then a certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the University / Institute indicating the date on which the result was posted on the website will be taken as the date of passing. Age Limit A candidate should be between 21 – 30 years. Notes for Orthopaedically Handicapped (OH)/Visually Handicapped (VH) candidates: OH/VH Candidates who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability should posses disability certificate issued by Medical Board duly constituted by Central or State Government issued on or before last date of online submission of application: a) Only those OH candidates who have locomotor disability or cerebral palsy with locomotor impairment of minimum 40% and only those who fall in the following categories are eligible to apply: MW – Muscular weakness and limited physical endurance OL – One leg affected (R or L) BL – Both legs affected but not arms OA – One arm affected (R or L) – (a) Impaired reach; (b) Weakness of grip; (c) Ataxia b) Only those Visually handicapped persons who suffer from any one of the following conditions are eligible to apply. i) Total absence of sight. ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses. iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degrees or worse c) Candidates having low vision as defined in Chapter I, Para 2 (u) of the persons with Disabilities (Equal opportunities, protections of rights and full participation) Act 1995. d) At the time of written examination, only blind/low vision candidates and those candidates whose writing speed is affected by cerebral palsy can use scribe/writer at his/her own cost. In all such cases where a scribe/writer is used, the following rules will apply: i) The candidate will have to arrange his/her own scribe/writer at his/her cost. ii) The candidate will have to give a suitable undertaking, in the prescribed format at the time of online examination. iii) Blind/low vision candidates and other candidates whose writing speed is affected by cerebral palsy whether availing the facility of scribe or not shall be allowed compensatory time of 20 minutes and/or part thereof for every hour of the examination provided that the candidate uses scribe /writer for both the objective & descriptive test.
