Our country has five Rashtriya Military schools situated across varied geographical locations. Primary aim of RMS is to train its cadets to join Indian Armed Forces in the officer cadre. Rashtriya Military Schools accept both boys & girls in class 6 and class 9 via a common national level entrance test. Following is the official date of birth chart for upcoming entrance exam in December 2025.
For Class 6: Child should be born from 01 April 2014 to 31 March 2016 (applicable for both boys & girls)
For Class 9: Child should be born from 01 April 2011 to 31 March 2013 (applicable for both boys & girls)
Important Note: Six months relaxation in upper age limit is permissible for the wards of personnel Killed in Action (KIA) for admission to Class VI and Class IX respectively.

RMS conduct an OMR (Optical mark recognition) based entrance exam to qualify students. Following is the timeline for Rashtriya Military School online application process for academic year 2026-27.
